Labor and Parts cost of renewing the suspension of 9th Gen Honda Civic in Pakistan

Suneel Munj of Pakwheels takes us to the workshop where he totally repairs and renews his 9th-Gen Honda Civic (Rebirth) suspension, all the bushes and rubbers are replaced with new ones, the video mentions the total labor cost as 8-10 thousand for this work and another 2-3 thousand PKR for alignment and lathe machine work.

The video mentions the list and prices of the parts as follows (see screenshot below):

The cost of the parts exceeded expectations because Suneel sir also installed new and genuine parts other than for the suspension, the ones like the radiator cap, fan belt, and the water pump added another 4,850 rupees to the cost of parts.

The grand total of this repair job that totally renewed the Rebirth Civic's suspension is:

Parts = 24,650

Labor = 12,000

Grand Total = 36,650 PKR.

This Suzuki Mehran owner literally nailed it, the most honest, brutal, sarcastic and funny interview of a car in history (at least in Pakistan).

The way this guy describes Suzuki Mehran's features such as Power Steering, Cruise Control, Push Start is a hard slap on the face of Pak Suzuki who sold crap for 9 lac+ to the declining middle-class of Pakistan.

I honestly recommend watching this review for refreshing your mood, and if you happen to have owned Suzuki Mehran ever in Pakistan, you will agree to this guy on each and every point he made.

Honda City vs Hyundai Verna - India Reviews and Comparisons

Honda City 6th Generation facelift and the 2018 Hyundai Verna have created a stiff competition in the Compact Sedan segment in India. Both of these cars are amazing in their own ways and giving tough time to the other in looks, interior, comfort, drive and longevity.

We have included a couple of video reviews below from the Indian reviewers who understand the local market very well and how these cars perform on the road.

Autoportal experienced a larger interior space in the Honda City, specially for the rear seat legroom, also City is more comfortable for long drives as the seats are better designed ergonomically.

Whilst Hyundai Verna is loaded with options specially the air filters and a better touch screen and a Diesel variant that gives a great of up to 22 km/liter. Honda City has a tough and i-VTEC engine that promises great performance for many years to come.

Both of these cars are not present in Pakistan as Hyundai has no car lineup at all in the country and Honda is forcing the 5th Generation Honda City on people with some cosmetic changes every couple of years.

LaFerrari is obviously the most 'beautiful Ferrari ever made and that Red color looks more killing on it than any other car in the world.

Although it's a luxury thing but Ferrari is a household name in every part of the world — the ones who cannot afford the cars just put a beautiful wallpaper on their computer or mobile screens and a poster in their bedroom — yes that's popularity like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Bruce Lee.

Review:

LaFerrari is the flagship car from Ferrari and that says much about it. It's made out of four different carbon fibers that are used to make the sports car as light as possible. It's even lighter than the Porsche 911 and McLaren

It's not just the best Ferrari in history but also one of the most expensive ones — LaFerrari cost more than a million dollars and still you have to wait for yours to be available. Existing owners sometimes offer to sale their pre-owned LaFerraris online but the price tag is 2 - 3 million dollars a piece.

The most significant thing about the LaFerrari is that it's a 'Hybrid' car — meaning it has a V12 petrol engine and an electric motor at the same time — but LaFerrari cannot run only on electric power.

I think Ferrari used the electric motors on the wheels just to get some instant torque in-order to match the instantaneous acceleration of the electric cars. According to James May (Top Gear video below) Ferrari sasys "We are not interested in Electric Cars".

The driver seat is fixed (not adjustable) — the driver seating settings are adjusted by the steering wheel and the pedals — this means the driver can sit lower and the roof is created lower to make the center of gravity lower for enhanced 'handling'.

At the time of Top Gear review James thought 'it's the greatest car in the world', you don't hear that kind of praise for a car from previous Top Gear crew that are hosting their new show on Amazon prime 'The Grand Tour' !

The most anticipated car of the year 2016 Civic is near launch in Pakistan

The 10th Gen Civic is probably the most anticipated car of 2016 since Honda showed the concept last year. New model of Corolla is here for about 1.5 years and have made good sales despite not been so promising in it's design area at least.

The new model Civic is already launched in Thailand with two engine variants the 1.8 i-VTEC and the 1.5 VTEC Turbo. We can expect the same configuration from Atlas Honda for the Pakistani versions. The Turbo variant is called the Touring in the USA at least with the same features like LED Headlamps, Dual Exhaust and the 1.5L Earth Dreams Turbo Engine.

Recently Pakwheels spies caught the new Civic being tested on Lahore roads (see video below). That indicates the launch is very near and Atlas dealers will start booking soon. Rumour has that the 10th Generation Honda Civic will be launched max by August 2016 in Pakistan.

Design & Features

2016 Civic is widely acclaimed as a milestone achieved since the downfall of the 9th Generation's not so impressive design and low sales. The Civic has come back as the best mid-range sedan for the masses.



The list of features and specifications is yet to be known for the Pakistani Civic but we are sure they will strip down many features as usual. The price range of the new Civic Turbo would definitely go up from the current Civic because of the Turbo engine, dual-exhaust and LED headlamps from the factory.
