Labor and Parts cost of renewing the suspension of 9th Gen Honda Civic in Pakistan

Suneel Munj of Pakwheels takes us to the workshop where he totally repairs and renews his 9th-Gen Honda Civic (Rebirth) suspension, all the bushes and rubbers are replaced with new ones, the video mentions the total labor cost as 8-10 thousand for this work and another 2-3 thousand PKR for alignment and lathe machine work.

The video mentions the list and prices of the parts as follows (see screenshot below):

The cost of the parts exceeded expectations because Suneel sir also installed new and genuine parts other than for the suspension, the ones like the radiator cap, fan belt, and the water pump added another 4,850 rupees to the cost of parts.

The grand total of this repair job that totally renewed the Rebirth Civic's suspension is:

Parts = 24,650

Labor = 12,000

Grand Total = 36,650 PKR.

Hi. everyone ! Now Honda Pakistan has made a move at nearly the end of 2012 :) A model which was launched in late 2010 in the rest of the world is now here at last. The thing which I objected were it's tail lights in an earlier post on the blog, I think Honda heard me and they have done some good addition to the tail lights somewhat similar to it's big brother Accord. Front lights and stuff is the same & they have reduced the car's width and length a bit and increased ride height a bit I guess specially for the Pakistani market.

They have four variants in this model, mentioned below with prices:

i-VTECH Manual Transmission - PKR 1,969,000 (around US $20,300 ) *

i-VTECH Prosmatec Transmission - PKR 2,089,000 ( around US $21,500 ) *

VTi Oriel Manual Transmission - PKR 2,199,000 ( around US $22670 ) *

VTi Oriel Prosmatec Transmission - PKR 2,319,000 ( around US $23900 ) *

Honda calls Automatic Transmission as Prosmatec Transmission and Oriel means Sunroof :) Both iVTEC and VTi have 1.8L Water Cooled In-Line 4 Cylinder Engines with 141bhp (horse-power) at 6300rpm. There are minor differences in both models, mostly in interior and VTi has Alloy rims and iVTEC is with simple steel wheels. Also the VTi model has remote key for keyless entry and it's also useful for the Trunk this time :) The slightly lower priced iVTECH model also lacks Fog Lamps and Cruise Control. So it's your choice and the depth of your pocket to choose the right variant for yourself.
