Suzuki FX Engine Cleaned, All Seals, Packing and new Clutch Plate Installed

Engine After Operation Cleanup... It was real dirty, believe me :) "Right-Click+Open in new tab" for 1600x1200 large image.
 I was having problem with Oil leak from my engine for some time and it got worse with the passing moments, I finally decided to get rid of the problem and make some renewals and cleaning under my car's hood. So I went to the workshop where the mechanic uninstalled the engine and changed all the seals, cleaned the engine with kerosene oil and put new packing for the oil chamber and checked for any other leaks.

Gear Box also cleaned from inside out. New Clutch-Barring installed. "Right-Click+Open in new tab" for 1600x1200 large image.
The gear box was also opened, cleaned and new clutch-barring was installed, now the clutch feels way better and softer than before and gears are easy to change, previously the clutch got very stiff and had to push it full to the wall to put the car into gear.

Also got new clutch-plate installed, sorry, couldn't get the pictures of it. It was a DK - Exedy clutch plate for FX, which I previously had installed 2.5 years ago, it wore out because of all home drivers learning on this car and harsh, rough and in-experienced driving. :) now the car is performing better.

Installing seals everywhere under the hood. :) "Right-Click+Open in new tab" for 1600x1200 large images.

A Lamborghini Gallardo Toy Car, the only difference seems to me is the doors opening in sides not on above :) the toy makers thought it was easy and simple to open-close doors the traditional way, I guess. :)

Good and Bad CNG Pumps in Karachi.

I have been using CNG in Karachi for 2 years... Also had the experience of going to Thatta and Karli (Keejhar) Lake on my FX. I found these pumps good and bad are listed;

GOOD:
1- Farzand CNG - Rashid Minhas Road, besides Lasania Restaurant
2- Royal CNG - Malir, Near Anwar Baloch Restaurant
3- The pump CNG pump on the road which is going from Practical Center towards Rashid Minhas Road, just before Rashid Minhas Road, also less price (58.xx) when it is 63.11
4- Makli CNG (Thatta)
5- Shell Pump, first one on the left on Shara-e-Faisal after Drigh Road, going towards Nursery. Also membership available for FREE services like car wash(cool one), wheel alignment etc. on 15 and 30 refills.

BAD:
1- Shell opposite Millenium Mall, Askari 4. Worst of them all, bad service, bad pressure.
2- Shell just before airport (pressure good, but no pre-set, they manually stop the machine on the asked amount )
3- Most PSO pumps
4- All Manual pumps, where they need to stop the filling manually, this way it sometimes charge you 1-2 rupees extra and it's annoying if you do not have the change at the time.

I'll update the list when I come accross more.

Thanks.

How do I thaw my frozen engine?

How do I thaw my frozen engine? - Yahoo! Answers

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

If it has a conventional water pump thaw that out with a hair dryer and see if it will turn over. Assuming that the radiator is also frozen, and provided none of the " freeze " plugs have moved out of their pockets, try to run it for several minutes, turn it off for a while to let the engine heat thaw things a bit, and repeat. Once the engine water is getting to the radiator, try to get the thawed water out via the bottom drain and start adding anti-freeze until things are all thawed. If you're lucky nothing will have been harmed by the freeze-up. Good luck.

A 40,000 KM Journey on a bike by a crazy Pakistani guy

A crazy Pakistani chap has decided to do a lifetime journey of 40,000 KM accross 3 continents. America, Canada, Europe, Asia and the destination is Lahore, Pakistan. Moin Khan is a graduate of San Francisco State University and has been dreaming of this journey since a few years. He has worked 60 hours a week for the last 18 months and saved money, now the journey is on it's way... This guy has made me excited and I have started dreaming of a journey somewhere from Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and back but on a car or SUV in the future.... :) hahah, I also need to save a lot of money for such an adventure.

Moin Khan started his 25,000 mile ride to Lahore, Pakistan from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

He's doing this journey on a Honda CBR Sports Bike... not a touring bike... :)

You can visit for updates to his;

Wallpapers: Liana 2010 - A beautiful car not launched in Pakistan :(

Click on Images for high resolution wallpapers
I am not sure, why Suzuki hasn't launched their new Liana 2010 Model, at least it looks marvellous and far better than the old version which they are still selling in Pakistan without Air Bags, ABS and EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution).

Does anyone knows why these car companies compromise on safety features with same or more price for the car for Pakistani versions of their vehicles? Do they think our lives are not worthy enough?
